Publishing Instructions

Do not submit before checking you stick to the journal guideline before submitting and fix the title of the file you submitting as text file or the short title of the manuscript otherwise the journal rejects the submission or ignored it. The journal requests a certification of improving of English language ([email protected]).

These instructions contain three sections, namely: (research template, writing references, instructions for authors), and as below:

 

  1. Manuscript Template
  • -The Manuscript should be written in English only.
  • -An Arabic Abstract should be provided (250 to 300 words) with arabic author's names and Affiliation.
  • -Prepare text using MS Word 2010 (or later).
  • -Paper size: A4, the margins should be 0.79” in all directions (Top, Down, Right, Lift). The submitted manuscript has only one column.
  • -Font type: Times New Roman.
  • -Title: pt 14, bold, centered.
  • -Authors’ Names: pt 12, bold, centered.
  • -Author's Addresses: pt 11, the corresponding author should be mentioned (email address and mobile number should be included).
  • -The manuscript main titles (abstract, introduction, material, methods of work, results, and discussion): pt 12, bold.
  • -The keywords are written under the Abstract (five keywords) In order sequence using the English alphabet.
  • -Manuscript text: pt 11.
  • -Subtitles: pt 11, bold, non-numbered.
  • -The full word "Figure" is used as a heading under the shape or what it represents and an abb. Word “Fig.” is used anywhere in the text.
  • -Tables and shapes are placed in the results in the sequence mentioned, not at the end of the manuscript.
  • -All numbers are written in the Arabic numerals system (e.g. 1, 2, 3 ...)
  • -The authors can separate or merge the results with the discussion.

 

 

  1. Writing References
  • -References are numbered and cited as they appear in the text using superscript (ex). References are numbered in sequential order in the text, table, or figure. Put the superscript Arabic numerals to cite the reference, for example, number one is referring to the first reference used in a written manuscript and listed as the first reference list at the end of the manuscript.
  • -References are written only in the English language with Vancouver Citing & Referencing.
  • -20 % of references are published in the journals indexed by Scopus.
  • -70% of references are recent and are within the last 5 years.

Article with 1 to 6 authors

  • Author AA, Author BB, Author CC, Author DD. Title of the article. Abbreviated title of the journal. Date of publication YYYY Mon DD; volume number(issue number): page numbers.

Article with more than 6 authors (list 6 authors only and use et al for the remaining):

  • Author AA, Author BB, Author CC, Author DD, Author EE, Author FF, et al. Title of article. Abbreviated title of the journal. Date of publication YYYY Mon DD; volume number(issue number): page numbers.

  1. Instructions for Authors

 

  • The manuscript can be sent using Submission system in the journal web site.
  • The manuscript is subject to the Turnitin plagiarism detection software before sending to reviewers, preferably the linguistic review in Arabic and English by the authors.
  • The referenced facts adopted in the manuscript should not be taken from arbitrary Internet sites, but only those that rely on research published in international or local journals, books, dissertations, and thesis.
  • The research undertaking, Copyrights and submission request forms (available in the Author Guidelines section) should be completed formally and submitted before any action taken by the journal.
  • Baghdad Science Journal applies the license of CC BY (a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License).   If you need to know information on this license, please follow this link: https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/
  • The amount of (175,000) Iraqi Dinars for publication fees after acceptance of the manuscript.
  • The author must incorporate revisions required by referees within a maximum period of one month; however, the final copy of the manuscript should be viewed and approved by the author within a period of three days maximum.
  • The author/s should be declared if any, national or international organizations explicitly cover such fees for articles originated in funded research projects. If it is not announced by the author/s and if the grant authorities have a conflicting, in this case, the manuscript will be rejected in any process of publishing while if the paper published in this case the journal marked on the paper by "retracted ".

All submissions must meet the following requirements.

  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration.
  • The submission file is in Microsoft Word.
  • The Manuscript should be written in English only.
  • An Arabic Abstract should be provided (250 to 300 words), with arabic author names and Affiliation.

  • Refercens are written only in english language with Vancouver Citing & Referencing.
  • The research undertaking, submission request, and copyrights form (available in the Author Guidelines section) should be completed formally and submitted before any action taken by the journal.
  • All authors should be provide their an ORCID ID ( https://orcid.org/register)

  • The contribution of each author in the submitted manuscript (MS) to the “ Baghdad Science Journal” should be specified in the MS itself, and required to sign this form: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1TkI2K9vWih9ZXIEmYp3SIP4Fwspt9HFP/view
  • It is important to mention the correct corresponding author with his/her email and full corresponding address ,otherwise the submission will be rejected.
  • All the numbers mentioned in the submission should be written without brackets, for example: 4 hours, 4 days, 4 values
  • Add the emails and ORCID for each contribute participate in the manuscript when adding new contributers during submission upload.
