Abstract
The mutagenic effect of some Compound was studied in bacterial mutagenic detection system G-system composed of three different isolates belong to different genera. G. Bacillus spp): G: (Arthrobacter spp) and G21 (Brevibacterium spp). The tested compounds were piractin (active component Cyproheptadine), diacetyl and Tween 80 at land100 µg/ml concentrations. The results revealed that Cyprohepatidine had a mutagenic effect as et induced streptomycin and rifampicin resistant mutants in the isolated as evaluated by measuring the mutant yield and mutant frequency Mx. Diacetyl exhibited similar effect. Tween 80 induced streptomycin and rifampicin in sensitive isolate G12 and induced also resistance to streptomycin only in G27.
