Abstract

The conditions for reaction of visible bismuth glass containing 15% mole of ZnO with phosphoric acid at different temperatures were studied by the rotary disc method. The reaction gave a white precipitate on the visible bismuth glass surface. The white precipitate was isolated and characterized by (X-ray) analysis. Some physico-chemical properties were studied such as the velocity of precipitate formation by the above method at the reaction area (0.04-0.49cm²) of different temperatures also the effective activiation energy was determined and it was found to be between 10 and 33kJ/mole.
